This policy explains what information Candle Sensei ("we", "us")
collects when you use our website and app at candlesensei.com, how we
use it, and the choices you have. Candle Sensei provides educational
market-analysis tools. By using the service you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information — your email address and
authentication details, managed through our authentication provider
(Supabase). We do not see or store your password in plain text.
Profile & usage data — your plan and credit
balance, trades you choose to log in the journal, saved analyses, and
price alerts you create.
Chart images you upload — when you use AI Chart
Analysis, the screenshot you upload is sent to our AI provider
(Anthropic) to generate the analysis. Uploaded images are processed to
produce your result; the resulting analysis may be saved to your
account so you can revisit it.
Telegram (optional) — if you connect Telegram for
alerts, we store the chat identifier needed to deliver your
notifications. You can disconnect it at any time.
Payment information — payments are processed by
Paystack. We do not collect or store your card
numbers or mobile-money PIN; we receive only a confirmation and
reference for your purchase.
Technical & diagnostic data — basic device and
error information may be logged to keep the service reliable and
secure.
2. How we use your information
To create and secure your account and provide the tools you use.
To process purchases and grant the access or credits you buy.
To generate and save your AI analyses and deliver your alerts.
To operate, maintain, debug and improve the service.
To comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse or fraud.
3. Third parties we share data with
We share only what is needed for these providers to perform their
function:
Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
Anthropic — processes the chart images and prompts
you submit to return an analysis.
Paystack — payment processing (M-Pesa and card).
Telegram — delivery of alerts you opt into.
We do not sell your personal information. Market-data
sources we use (e.g. price and economic-calendar feeds) do not receive
your personal data.
4. Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You can
ask us to delete your account and associated personal data (see Contact
below). Some records may be retained where required for legal, security
or accounting reasons.
5. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal
data, and you may disconnect optional integrations (such as Telegram) at
any time. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
6. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access to
stored data is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is 100%
secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
7. Children
Candle Sensei is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at
children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be
posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
